NEW MINISTRY
Many years ago God laid on my heart and soul a passion to minister with criminals and their families. God impressed on me that these despised and rejected people are the lepers in today’s world. As a result, I founded The Community Ministry with Ex-offenders (and their families) (C.M.E.O.) in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This ministry continues to this day to be part of the Correctional program of the Correctional Service of Canada under the new name, Bridging the Gap.
Recently, God challenged me to establish a similar ministry using the Internet. Because of this, I have written the book “Heart And Soul” which details the goals of such a ministry was born.
This is a ministry which trains volunteers to be coaches with criminals and their families. The program operates a web site providing training and support for volunteers in the coaches’ program. Criminals and their families are not excluded from being coaches.
Another important aspect of the program is community education related to changing those factors that cause crime such as poverty, mental illness, learning disabilities, parenting, gangs, drugs, prison, and much more.
This is a Christian program that encourages common sense standards.
My book,” Heart And Soul” gives the details of this ministry.
